Scottsburg Kiwanis Club Corporate Member, Austin Tri Hawk donated $2,700 to sponsor the BUG Program for 2017-18PIctured are Mike Murry and Dave Bailey from Austin Tri Hawk and Al Riggle, Secretary of the Scottsburg Kiwanis Club.  Bring Up Grades (BUG) is a Kiwanis signature program designed to provide incentives to third graders to improve their grades.  BUG started in Scott County in 2010 at Lexington ES and within five years had spread to every elementary school in Scott County.  Approximately 300 students participate in the program each yearStudents who make the BUG Honor Roll receive a party to celebrate their improvement each grading period.  At the parties the student receives a certificate identifying the subject(s) they improved, a BUG T-Shirt the first time they  make the BUG Honor Roll, snacks and prizes.  BUG is a team effortAustin Tri Hawk’s support provides the certificates, T-Shirts and pizza.  Lake Pointe Village provides the ice cream, Hickory Creek,  Stock Yard Bank and Hampton Oaks provide the cookies and cupcakes.  C3BB prints the certificates.  These are all Scottsburg Kiwanis Club Corporate Members.  Kiwanian Doris Marcum donates cookies and Betty Clark and The Kitchen also donate cookiesThanks to all our sponsors for making the BUG Program a success in Scott County!  Your efforts are making a difference for our kids!
