Healthcare that works!

Healthcare that Works!
A healthier employee is a happier employee and a happier employee is a more productive employee. They get more done, they have fewer sick days, and they stay with your company longer. That’s why the Healthy Indiana Plan offers HIP Employer Link. Now even low-income Hoosiers and their families can afford to enjoy all the benefits of their employers’ health plans. Businesses may utilize the HIP Employer Link program to help attract and retain good staffing, help to lower group premium rates, and to meet plan participation rate requirements. Businesses may register to offer the HIP Employer Link program at no additional cost.
You are invited to attend an educational seminar:
Wednesday, February 22nd from 1:00-2:00pm at the
Greater Scott County Chamber of Commerce
90 N. main Street
Scottsburg, IN
Questions about the HIP Employer Link Program and this upcoming seminar may be directed to Alexandria Yeager, HIP Employer Link Recruiter at (317) 273-3762 or

AmeriCorps Recuits Members for Scott County

The Scott County Partnership (SCP) is recruiting individuals from the community and local colleges who are interested in participating in the Scott County AmeriCorps program.

Currently, the SCP is seeking qualified applicants to perform many duties within the community at the Scott County Family YMCA After School Program and the Circles Campaign which meets at the Cherry Street Center in Austin. Positions are “Reduced Part-time” and “Minimum-time”.

As an AmeriCorps member, you will gain valuable experience in an area that interests you that can translate directly into job experience in your chosen field. You will learn teamwork, communication, responsibility, and other essential skills that will help you for the rest of your life, while gaining the personal satisfaction of taking on a challenge and seeing results.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and willing to commit to the program until August 2017. Members are required to sign a contract committing their service to the AmeriCorps Program. A high school diploma or a GED is required along with a criminal background check, a National Sex Offender Registry Check, and an application must be filled out for the positions.

Anyone who is interested in applying for the Scott County AmeriCorps Program can pick up an informational packet along with an application at the AmeriCorps Office at the Scott County Partnership in the Life Long Learning Center, 1092 W. Community Way in Scottsburg.
