Service Leadership Programs:

Service Leadership Programs (SLP) are Kiwanis signature programs available to Kiwanis Clubs to use in their community where a need is identified.  They are off the shelf programs developed, organized, with guides on implementing and recommendations on how to be successful.  Kiwanis Clubs conduct a community assessment to identify where there are gaps in programs or projects for kids in their community.  Based on the assessment, Kiwanians can go to the SLPs and select the best suited program for their community.  SLPs are generally student led clubs designed to develop leadership and character through community service.  They may also be focused on specific goals such as improving grades.  Kiwanis believe it’s important to give our kids the opportunity to get involved in community service to demonstrate to them how easy it is for them to make a difference in their community.
