Lauren Howser recently attended the Scottsburg Kiwanis Club meeting at the Quality Inn Hill Bar and Grill to receive her scholarship check and to discuss her plans for college.  Pictured with Lauren and presenting the $500 scholarship check are Scholarship Team members Terry Davis, Dave Church and Darryl Smith.  Lauren thanked the club for the scholarship.  She plans on attending the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington and also has plans to study Pre-Med.  The club members congratulated her and wished her luck in her studies.

Ben Stivers receives a scholarship check

Ben Stivers, 2014 graduate of Scottsburg High School, recently attended the Scottsburg Kiwanis Club weekly meeting to receive his $500 scholarship check.  Pictured with Ben are Scholarship Team members Darryl Smith and Terry Davis.  Ben plans on heading to Daytona to take flight lessons and then study avionics at Embry Riddle University.  The Kiwanians are proud of Ben and wish him the best with his studies.  The Kiwanis believe the best way to improve a community is to improve the kids.  Meetings are held weekly at the Hill Bar and Grill at 6:30 on Thursday nights.

Scottsburg Kiwanis Scholarships awarded

The Scottsburg Kiwanis Club presented Logan Trowbridge and Hyenee Ellis each a scholarship check for $500 at their recent dinner/meeting at the Coffee Shop.  Both students are graduates of Scottsburg High School.  Presenting the checks are members of the Kiwanis Scholarship Committee Darryl Smith and John Mastin.  Logan will be attending Franklin College to study Journalism and Hyenee will be attend DePaul University in a Pre-Med curriculum.  The Kiwanis members congratulate them on their graduation and wish them success as they continue their studies.
