The Scottsburg Kiwanis Club recognized 116 third graders in Scott County for making the BUG Honor Roll the end of the second grading period. To make the BUG Honor Roll (Bring Up Grades) the students must improve at least one grade in at least one subject and not go down in any other subjects. Students earning this recognition are provided a party, a certificate identifying the subject(s) they improved, snacks, prizes and a BUG T-Shirt the first time they make the BUG Honor Roll. This grading period, sixteen students at Vienna Finley Elementary School improved their grades. BUG Honor Roll students in Ms Dulaney’s class are Hudson Garten, Gage Densford and Regan Kiefer. BUG Honor Roll students in Ms Lucas’ class are Izabelle Allgood, Porter Banister, Eli Combs, LeAndra Schooner, Emily Taylor and Hayden Thomas. BUG Honor Roll students in Ms Thomas’ class are Luke Arbuckle, Bella Crites, Addison Elliott, Charlie Garcia, Katherine Hancock, Jarin Luttrell and Alan Wilson. It is that time of year again, Kids First Auction! Once again we were hoping that your students would be willing to sign up to help us out. The help that they provide us is always greatly appreciated and a tremendous help.
The auction will be Saturday, November 18 at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The shifts we are looking to fill are as follows:
8:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
9:00 p.m. till it is over (approx. 1:00 a.m.)
If at all possible we would like to have sign-ups in by November 15th.
