Attention all tree lovers!  Interested in increasing the tree canopy in your community or on your own property?  Curious about urban forestry?  Want to know more about planting and caring for trees?
Great Scott Trees invites you to participate in the 2019 Tree Steward Program presented by the Indiana DNR Division of Forestry in Scottsburg on February 7 and 8 at the Mid-America Science Park.  This two-day program was developed in order to actively engage Hoosiers in various aspects of urban forestry and to generate a base of urban forestry advocates. Trainers include City Foresters, Certified Arborists, Extension Agents, District Conservationists and others concerned with planting and maintaining trees in the urban environment.  This course is for community members, volunteers, master gardeners, municipal employees and anyone that has an interest in learning more about trees and giving back to their community forest.  You can see a detailed overview of the program here: Tree Steward Program Overview
The cost is $35, which includes lunch on both days.  This fee will be reimbursed at the end of the event for all participants who attend both days.  Register online at: Tree Steward Training Registration.  Space is limited, so register soon.
Attached is a flyer with more information.  Please forward this email to anyone you think would be interested in attending.
We hope you will be joining us on February 7 and 8!  If you have any questions or comments about the program, please feel free to call me at 812-820-9002, or respond to this email.
