President Al Riggle announced Austin Tri Hawk as the Kiwanian of the Year, Corporate Member Category for 2017-18. Pictured are Kiwanis President Al Riggle, Mike Murry, Jeff Barrett and David Bailey. Austin Tri Hawk believes in our kids and are bringing the Kiwanis vision alive – the best way to improve a community is to improve the kids in that community. Austin Tri Hawk sponsors the Bring Up Grades (BUG) Program because they see the impact it has on our kids and the incentive it provides them to work hard, improve their grades and be successful. They attend the BUG parties to help recognize and cheer on the students who have improved their grades. They provided funds to support the Vision Screening Program and purchase new machines to expand the program to Austin High School this fall. They sponsor students from Austin High School and Scottsburg High School to attend the Key Leader Camp at Camp Tecumseh near West Lafayette, Indiana to develop leadership skills with kids from all over the state of Indiana. They are strong supporters of the Read and Lead Program which is just kicking off at Vienna Finley and Lexington Elementary Schools with our K-Kids clubs. Austin Tri Hawk is most deserving of this award. Congratulations to Mike Murry and Austin Tri Hawk.
