I am so thankful for the members of our Lexington ES K-Kids (some pictured below) for collecting diapers and other items for CRADLE. This has been a tough year for CRADLE. Not only did they have to raise money to replace their roof this year but with COVID, their donations were down. They were unable to do some of the major fundraisers they usually do to fund annual operating costs.
Our Service Leadership Programs have jumped in to help. A couple of weeks ago the AHS Key Club collected diaper and donated baked goods to help CRADLE during their barbecue fundraiser.
We are so lucky to have such caring kids who are willing to roll up their sleeves to assist. Earlier this month, the AHS Key Club, SHS Key Club and SMS Builders Club were a huge help with our pancake breakfast. The SMS Builders Club washed the dishes and ran the curbside pickup for the pancake breakfast. The SHS and AHS Key Clubs helped with serving and busing the tables.
Besides family, our kids are one of the things I’m most thankful for this Thanksgiving!!
