Members of the Kiwanis Family in Scott County came together to do a service project at CASA during Child Abuse Prevention Month. Scottsburg Kiwanis Club members Wes Clark, Guy Townsend and Don Cooper joined Austin High Key Club members Kansas Amos and Shelby Keith, Scottsburg High Key Club members Olivia Watson, Alyssa Bray, Riley Poole and Heaven Beswick, and Scottsburg Middle School Builders Club member Bella Cox to give up their Saturday morning and help CASA. The Kiwanis Family leveled some dirt in the yard and filled holes, pruned the roses and spread mulch in the flower beds. CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, volunteers serve as the voice for some of the neediest kids in our community. They serve well over 200 kids and work closely with the Department of Child Services and the Judicial System to ensure these kids are provided safe, nurturing homes.
