The Scottsburg Kiwanis Club recognized fourteen third graders at Lexington Elementary School for making the BUG Honor Roll the third grading period. BUG, which stands for Bring Up Grades, is a Kiwanis signature program that provides incentives to students who improve their grades. To make the BUG Honor Roll a student must improve at least one grade in at least one subject and not go down in any others. Students who make the BUG Honor Roll receive a certificate identifying the subject(s) they improved, snacks, prizes and a BUG T-Shirt the first time they make the BUG Honor Roll. BUG Honor Roll students in Mrs Hale’s class are Macy Beauchamp, Braden Cox, Ryan Justice, Adin Shelton, Malena Stanford, Cheyenne Ward and Dallas Yates. BUG Honor Roll students in Mrs Brunner’s class are Shawn Basham, Addison Eldridge, Lane Harris, Veronica Law, Kathryn Middleton, Gavin South and Owyn South. BUG is made possible by the generous support of Kiwanis Corporate Member Austin Tri Hawk. The Kiwanis believe the best way to improve a community is to improve the kids. Congratulations to these outstanding students!
