Yvonne and Yvette Dowd and Melanie Foster spoke at a recent dinner/meeting of the Scottsburg Kiwanis Club at the Roadhouse USA about changes and plans for the Humane Society in Scott county and the animal shelterPictured are Yvonne and Yvette Dowd, Melanie Foster and Bunny SouthOur Humane Society has been in operation since 2007.  The program saved 429 animals in 2017 alone and sold 155 spay/neuter vouchers to prevent future unwanted animals. The Humane Society pulls animals from the Scottsburg animal shelter and transports animals to foster homes in other locations all over Indiana. The Humane Society is facing a unique situation right now and is having to relocate.  The community’s support is needed to help purchase a new location.  The Humane Society is starting a huge one time campaign to make this possible.  Please help if you can, many of our animals depend on your support.
