Michelle Shelton, Scott County Partnership, recently spoke at the Lexington K-Kids meeting to thank the students for helping with the Salvation Army bell ringing over the Christmas season raising money for the Scott County Clearinghouse. Pictured are Michelle Shelton, Faculty Advisor Lee Anna Willett and the LES K-Kids. Michelle explained how the bell ringing helps the Clearinghouse provide goods, services and support to needy families in Scott County. All the money raised by the Salvation Army here in Scott County stays in Scott County to help Clearinghouse serve our community. The students had fun ringing the bell and singing Christmas carols and now understand they can have fun while providing a needed service for the community. K-Kids is a Kiwanis family club designed to teach leadership through community service.
