The Vienna Finley K-Kids were nominated for the Good Neighbor Award in the Church/SchoolCivic/Other Youth Group Category for 2017. K-Kids Briana Busick and Jaylee Chandler attended the Good Neighbor Award Banquet to receive their award and recognition on 16 June 2017. Since they were chartered in 2016, the K-Kids have been active in service projects both at Vienna Finley Elementary School and in the community including participating in the Scott County Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl For Kids Sake where they raised over $400, setting up a pinwheel garden at VFES to raise awareness of Child Abuse during Child Abuse Prevention Month, collecting donations for UNICEF by participating in Trick or Treat for UNICEF, and learning about the Dwight Chamberlain Raptor Center as part of their effort to support the Raptor Center.
