Intern for Summer Youth Feeding Program
Scott County Partnership
Scott County Partnership, Inc Intern Position Opening:
Part-Time (maximum 15 hrs/week)

Intern Summary: The Summer Youth Feeding Program intern will work with the State Department of Education Summer Feeding Program Office to administer the summer youth feeding program for the City of Austin. The Intern will also work with the Nutrition Director for Scott County School District 2 to recruit volunteers to assist with the Lexington & Blocher sites for the Scott 2 Feeding Program

Qualifications:
– Ability to speak to groups to recruit volunteers
– Ability to work harmoniously with diverse personalities and groups
– Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and self-motivate
– Excellent oral and written communication skills
– Proficient in use of basic office computer programs and internet
– Ability to lead and work with adult volunteers
– Ability to develop communication items such as promotional brochures, fliers, email messaging and social media utilization
– Ability to lead, interact and work with children
– Ability to organize and complete required administrative documents

Education: Minimum-High school diploma. College degree in process

Employment Consultants are essentially Job Coaches that help people with disabilities friend the best suited career for them, and help them become stable on the job. They help people find their place in the community.

The job is Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. The mobility of the job is based on the Job Coach. Rauch likes for there to be a balance-50% in office, 50% on the road with clients. Rauch pays for mileage, and hourly. This is an entry level position with paid training.

Family Services Coordinator
National Youth Advocate Program
The responsibilities of a NYAp Caseworker include assessing clients’ needs and eligibility for social services; collaborating with schools, law enforcement, and child welfare services and coordinating counseling or crisis intervention as required. Caseworkers must be bale to maintain detailed case notes and file ongoing reports.

Duties include:
– Compete diagnostic, family, risk and supplemental assessments with the youth and families
– Develop the initial Treatment Plan with the treatment team
– Coordinate and monitor services including parenting education, counseling, community resources, etc.
– Assist in family reunification and preservation efforts

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Human Services field (BSW)
– Must have 2 years’ experience in youth services, foster care, or child welfare
– A valid Social Work License (LSW or LPC) is preferred, but not required
