Career Cluster Volunteers Needed to Teach Students About their Profession
SCOTTSBURG, Ind.—The Scott County Partnership is currently recruiting adult volunteers with specific careers to speak with students who are considering certain career pathways.
Career Clusters provide students with the essential knowledge and skills for the 16 Career Clusters and their Career Pathways. It also functions as a useful guide in helping students create individual plans of study for a complete range of career options. By helping students discover their interests and passions, it empowers them to choose the educational pathway that can lead to success in high school, college and career.
Volunteers are needed from the following career areas: Agri-Business, Horticulture/Landscape Management, Commercial/Residential Building Management, Construction, Electrical, Heavy equipment operation, HVAC, Accounting/finance, Marketing, Tourism, Early childhood education, Dental, Comprehensive health science, Physical therapy, and Veterinary.
Interested volunteers will speak in the Scottsburg High School classrooms on Thursday, March 16, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Those interested in volunteering their time for this worthy cause should contact Ace Woodson at 812.722.7708 or email as soon as possible.
