Scottsburg High School Commons
Join the SHS Student Council for Meet the Candidates. All Scott County candidates have been invite. Each candidate will be given two minutes to tell the audience about themselves, their campaign, and why they are the right person for the job. This is your BEST CHANCE to meet the candidates before the November 8th General Election!
Harlem Ambassadors vs. Indiana Honey Badgers
November 4th – 6:00pm
Charles E. Meyer Gymnasium
The fun begins at 6:00pm, when the internationally acclaimed Harlem Ambassadors take the court against the Indiana Honey Badgers in a fun-filled, family-friendly events of basketball showmanship featuring high-flying slam dunks, ball-handling tricks, and hilarious comedy routines. There will be an opportunity to win an autographed basketball, purchase Harlem Ambassadors souvenirs, and meet the Harlem Ambassadors during a free post-game autograph session!

Austin Community Park Trail &
Archery Range Ribbon Cutting
November 5th – 10:00am
Austin Community Park
Join the Austin Redevelopment Commission and the City of Austin to celebrate Austin’s Community Park Trail and Archery Range. The event will take place at Austin Community Park on Broadway St. They plan to walk a portion of the trail and archery demonstrations will be given by the Austin High School. Coffee and
 hot chocolate will also be served.

Join Scott Memorial Hospital on Thursday, November 10th for a free training opportunity presented by the Indiana Family Health Council, hosted by Scott Memorial Hospital with the support of the Midwest AIDS Training + Education Center (MATEC) Indiana. There will be guest speaker, Stephen Everrett, MS from Indiana Family Health Council.

Thanksgiving Throwback Throwdown Alumni Basketball Game

November 16th – 7:30-8:30am
Austin City Hall
Help the Scott County Youth Grantmaking Council kick off the big Austin vs. Scottsburg rivalry week with a game of the “greats” competing for the traveling trophy. This is a fundraiser to benefit the Scott County YGC, which awards thousands in grants each year to Scott County to benefit youth!  There will be a half-time contest with $100 prize and get your photo taken with a player for a donates, courtesy of Bob Ward/State Farm Insurance!
Tickets: Students & Seniors-$3, Adults-$5

New Hope Services – Special Needs Dependent Planning

New Hope Services is hosting a “Planning for Your
Dependent with Special Needs” workshop. With changes to Home and Community Based Medicaid Waivers and the direction of government benefits, it has become critically important for families to plan for the future of their dependent with special needs. The workshop will cover legal issues, financial issues, family, issues, and more.
