IMG_0097The Scottsburg Kiwanis Club recognized ten third graders who made the BUG Honor Roll in Mrs Meadow’s class at Johnson ES for improving their grades the first grading period. BUG is a Kiwanis signature program which provides incentives to students to improve their grades. A student must improve at least one grade in at least one subject and not go down in any others to make the BUG (Bringing Up Grades) Honor Roll. The following students made the BUG Honor Roll: Preston Burton, Sara Elliot, Timmy Everhart, Emily Gabbard, Grant Goode, Kevin Moore, Gracie Morris, Lynci Rodriquez-Herrera, Coy Thomas and Emma Peacock. This is the fourth year Johnson ES and the Kiwanis have partnered in the BUG Program. BUG Honor Roll students receive a certificate identifying the subject they improved, snacks, prizes and a BUG T-shirt the first time they make the BUG Honor Roll. The BUG Program would not be possible without the support of the Youth Grantmaking Council who provided the T-shirts and Millie Cooper who provided the cookies.
